Knitting Books I Own But Regret Purchasing

1. Ann Budd’s Knitter’s Handy Book of Top-Down Sweaters: Basic Designs in Multiple Sizes and Gauges

Why? I have tried to use her sweater to make a saddle shouldered cardigan sweater with my Loops and Threads Charisma yarn, and simply could not figure out how to do it from her instructions.  Caveat: Others seem to have had great success with her book.  So I guess YMMV.

2. EVERY SINGLE BOOK by Alice Starmore. The patterns are AMAZING. BUT – BUT – you will probably never finish a sweater. Years of your life will go into knitting the sweaters in this book (even the easiest ones!) row by row and stitch by stitch. Buy this only if you’re into knitting porn.
