Katznbook’s short instructions: “Cast on 100 sts. Garter stitch for six rows. Three stitches of garter stitch on each edge. Started with row 59 of chart. Then repeated rows 86 through 145 for length. I’m only doing the yo’s in the part where it is done every row, not the parts where it is every other row.”

My elaboration of the Katznbook Stole Pattern:

1. CO 100 st.

2. Garter st for 6 rows.

3. Start on Row 59 of the pattern:

Guide to the chart:

4. Repeat rows 86-145 for length.

5. Garter stitch for 6 rows.

6. Bind off.
