Elizabeth Zimmermann July Shawl (Concentric Circles)

Instead of doing the plain jane July Shawl, make it mildly more difficult by doing this variation.

EZ says “As above, except that you work a round of yo, k2tog every 6th round between the increases”.

[this is the 96th row; if you’re really motivated, there should be an increase row next.  if you get this far and need help, message me on ravelry (cookknitpaint).  seriously, though, did you really knit this far?  how big is your shawl?  do you have enough to cover the roof of your home in case of rain?  does the shawl seem a mite large at this point?  make the border and end the misery now.]

USE SIDEWAYS GARTER STITCH BORDER

At the beginning of the round, CO 8 st
k 7 st, k2tog (with existing shawl stitch)

repeat

ELSE

1. Use lace edging

3. Use points, waves or scallops

4. Use gull stitch like Brooklyn Tweed (THEN finish with the garter stitch border).
